Week 36, Sprout is as big as a Mogwai

At least that's what one would think to see Sprout kick mommy all night. Plus, we learned that if you feed Sprout after midnight, he turns into a gremlin and gives mommy heartburn.

Aside from the occasional heartburn, all is well. Sprout is growing at the regular speed, mom is doing great, I am drinking extra coffee in preparation for long nights, the boys are getting extra excited to meet their new brother/sister, and so forth. Mom is predicting an early arrival but I know 2/1 is the date, so mark your calendars.

We had an excellent Christmas and New Year holiday. We exchanged a bunch of gifts, the boys got clothes and other exciting items, mom and dad got a new dining room set (en route), and even Sprout scored a few toys, blankets, and outfits/onesies. It was great to just hang out and relax with the family.


In two weeks, grandma and grandpa make their first trip to LA to attend the baby shower. It should be good times. I was contemplating having one of them drive me through LA rush hour, for the thrill seeking of course, but thought the better of it. Perhaps we'll stay close to the beach, eating local Mexican food and letting them catch some sun to help break the Ohio winter greys.
