Judah is 2 months old! (and btw as big as a 4 month old)

Well that's what we THINK anyway - he's gotten so incredibly big in the last 4 weeks!  See for yourself:
Judah at 4 1/2 weeks

Judah at 7 weeks
Judah is still so amazing - he is officially smiling and cooing all the time.  He sleeps up to 4 hours a night at a stretch and most days is up for most of the day.  He still loves to bounce on the yoga ball and loves to sleep in his moby wrap. We bought him a bouncing chair - he wasn't impressed.  He would still rather be with us or in his cradle looking at his mobile friends.

He is itching to turn over from his back to his tummy ... we are sure that its just cuz he forgets how much he hates tummy time!  He has started to suck on his fist and drool a lot so he could end up being like his brother Dakota and be an early teether.

We have taken Judah on walks a bit more this month but want to still wait til we get the first round of shots to actually take him out.  He gets his shots on April 8th so we get to ditch the cabin fever and actually be out and about more!  Woohoo!

We've had quite the round of visitors again this month:

He has quickly decided that Daddy is the newest greatest thing in the world (cuz he really is):

And he is just the cutest while he sleeps in a bear jacket:

Actually he's pretty amazingly cute doing just about anything:

Happy 2 month old ... thinking mom is the funniest!
Sleepy 2 month old ... mom i've had enough!

Irritated 2 month old ... from loving her to swatting at her in 5 minutes!

Judah loves to mimic also.  He looks at whomever is speaking to him and tries very hard to coo out what they are saying.  If you show your tongue to him you are in for a treat because he will do all sorts of crazy stuff with his tongue just trying to copy you!

We have transferred his night sleeping partially to the co-sleeper now - one stretch of the night he sleeps with Mom the other he sleeps next to Mom.  Mom is very partial to the stretch that he is with her.

Well that's about it for now - we love you all.

Happy 1 Month Judah Everett!

Wow, what a whirlwind this past 4 weeks have been.  It's hard to believe it has actually been a month ... and yet it's equally hard to believe it is ONLY been a month!  :)

Judah is such a great baby.  He sleeps about 2-4 hours at a stretch (depending on the time of day) and is in the full swing of nursing now.  It took a while and he still has to supplement but ... THANK GOODNESS! ... it is all working out!  The first two weeks were very difficult for us as he wouldn't nurse at all but after a few lactation classes and some very weird apparatus ... well, the pediatrician stepped in and low and behold he is taking to it like gangbusters.  Unfortunately the craziness in nursing really did a number on my milk production so we still have to supplement but he is really coming along great!  He is actually at the point of preferring to nurse to a bottle most of the time.  :)

Judah initially lost a lot more weight than the dr was comfortable with but he has put it all plus more back on!  He actually gained a full pound in a week!  We love our pediatrician and getting to see her a couple times a week for the first 3 weeks was comforting BUT we are very excited that we do not have to go back to see her until Judah is 2 months old - whew!  At our last appointment she proclaimed that Judah was incredibly healthy and that he is super long - about as long as a 2 month old!  He isn't chubby yet but she said it's because he is going to be super tall and lanky.  :)  I think he may have a bit of his Uncles in him!

Judah's belly button fell off at about 2 1/2 weeks and I do have to say, he has the cutest little button!  As much as he hates diaper changes (he screams like a banshee!), he LOVES his bathtime.  He sits and just watches me as I wash him.  He doesn't make a peep!

Judah has had many visitors this past month.  Here are just a few:

Dakota, Sawyer and Parker were so very excited to meet their new brother:

Grandma and Grandpa Moeggenberg came out to visit the last week in February.  To say they were smitten is an understatement!

Judah continues to slay us with his righteous cuteness:

Judah loves the bouncing yoga ball and his Moby wrap.  In either of those, he falls asleep instantly.  It is such an amazing help except we can't really sleep on the ball or in the Moby wrap.  haha!

We took Judah for his first walk in the wrap with Bourbon on Saturday 3/5.  It was nice getting outside with him when it wasn't a dr or lactation appointment!

Happy 1 month Judah - we don't know how we lived without you!

Love,
